KINGSWOOD TOPSHEET FEATURES IN PRESTIGIOUS DESIGN BOOK

Klaus Kremer's Escher-inspired logo makes the cut for the world-famous logo collection book, die Gestalten

A German-born, Wellington-based graphic designer with loads of experience in the snow industry, Klause created his own typface for his limited edtion designer topsheet.

Klaus’s design features a complex, Escher-like type that he painstakingly designed himself. “I'm a bit obsessed with optical illusions like MC Escher's art. And I really like typography. So I wanted to put it all in one cauldron, stir it up and create a font based on optical illusions like the Reutersvärd triangle. I've been working on this font for roughly six month and figured out it can be written it in three different directions. The bold font on the ski states: ‘Follow the path of least resistance’ and in my opinion reflects very much Kingswood's philosophy on life and skiing - and mine too.”
